Dynamic Policy Journal welcomes clear, original pitches that help general readers understand how public policy is designed, carried out or reviewed. A strong proposal makes one focused idea easier to see without requiring specialist knowledge.
What to pitch
We are interested in explainers, comparisons, histories of policy practices, close readings of policy language and thoughtful accounts of implementation or evaluation. A useful pitch begins with a specific question, names the reader's takeaway and shows why the subject can be handled accurately without overstating what one example proves.
What makes a strong proposal
Send a working title, a short outline, the proposed category and a note on the material or sources the piece would rely on. Flag any relevant perspective or interest that could shape the work. We favour precise scope, plain language and an honest account of uncertainty over sweeping claims or jargon.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option, making clear that your message is a contribution pitch. Please do not send a complete article unless requested. A proposal is not a promise of publication, and we will consider each idea on its fit and editorial needs.
